Those who own a boat can fish with fishing rods in small sheltered bays. The ports of Moudros, Kotsinas and Koutali, as well as the beaches of Ai-Yannis west of the island, are classic choices for fishermen. For snorkeling, many shallow or deep shoals can be found near the island. Among the best spots are the area by Fakos under Agia Efthimia, Cape Mourtzeflos (NW of the island), the rocky islet Sirgits (aka Sideritis), Paleokastro in Plaka, the Methones shoals located between Limnos and Imbros, Agios Sozos by Agia Sofia and many more.
